How to Link a Custom Table Record in a Post Activity in D365 CE

When we are trying to connect a record in a Post Activity, we are only able to see the standard tables listed below.

Suppose I have a custom entity named "Assignment," and I want to display it under Timeline Post.

In order to link the custom entity, some additional steps are required. Please refer to the following instructions:

  1. Go to the Advanced Settings and then Settings -> Activity feeds configuration

  1. Search for your custom entity in the post configuration list. If you don't find your entity listed, click on the "Refresh" button from the Ribbon bar.
  2. Now, open the custom entity record. Firstly, activate it.

  1. And then set "Enable walls for this type of record" to "Yes." Finally, click on "Publish all customizations.

  1. Now Assignment entity should be visible and listed under Timeline Post.
